In my sessions, I am now offering the same prenatal and childbirth prep guidance I would to a full-service doula client for a fraction of the time and cost.
In your 45-minute virtual session, we will build your Beautiful Birth Bundle, which includes:
Your Customized Birth Plan
The birth plan we create together will stand out to your providers by:
--Including a picture of you and your spouse (if applicable) so they know right away whose it is!
--Being easy to reference as only one page
--Communicating clearly your preferences through icons and visuals
--Catching their attention through a bright color theme
--Using appropriate medical language earning your provider's respect
--Including plan B and plan C in case birth goes differently than expected
I also eliminate the time, research, and guesswork of creating a birth plan that you KNOW will:
--be evidence-based,
--be aligned with your goals,
--have alternate plans in place in case things change,
--be easily read and referenced by hospital staff.
Advocacy Tools
Since it is understood I will not be attending the birth with my client,
I equip my clients with the ability to advocate for their birth plan though methods for self-advocacy (birth plan and BRAIN method,) as well as hired advocacy (full-service doula, etc.)
Hospital Packing List
My extensive hospital packing list was built from my own three labors as a mom in addition to my experience as a doula. It includes not just typical comfort items, but also items to create a calming atmosphere and provide pain relief.
Personal Priorities List
Developed through your session as we discuss various topics and options, I will develop a personalized, prioritized list of to-dos to complete before labor and/or postpartum.
Mini Childbirth Prep Series
Highlighting information taken from my childbirth education series that covers some of the most relevant topics around labor and delivery. Refer to them in conversations with your provider as you plan and toss them in your hospital bag to have quick and easy reminders.
